Teck Cominco has been the latest community partner to donate money towards the Implement Restoration Fund at the Doukhobor Discovery Center.

These photographs of the rotted and weathered wood (on just two of the implements on site) shows just how timely and crucial this project is. New wooden parts must be fashioned while one is still able to discern the pattern of the cut of the wood.

The Doukhobor Discovery Center has little operating or sustaining funds, and meaningful work is dependant on donations to save our community heritage artefacts.

We are thankful to Teck Cominco and of their important donation of $1000 to this project.

We plead with both residents of the area and general interested parties alike to donate to this worthwhile endeavour. Cheques may be made payable to the Doukhobor Discovery Centre but please mark 'Implement Restoration Fund' on the cheque prior to mailing it.
