Ewashen (right), Curator of the Doukhobor Discovery Centre, was
a recent guest presenter at the Tolstoy Symposium at the University
of Fraser Valley, held in honour of the 100th anniversary of Tolstoy’s
death.
His subject was Tolstoy and the Doukhobors. He is pictured here with Ron Dart (left), Chairman and Coordinator of the event, and Larissa Horne (centre), graduate of the University of St. Petersburg, who spoke on the themes of peace throughout Tolstoy’s many writings. The day-long symposium was open to the public as well as students and it was a ‘standing room only’ event. |
