Side One:

1. "Prieditye Ko Mnye"
A popular hymn titled "Come to me, all, who labor and are burdened." Its main theme is centered around Christ's entreaty to all his followers to love all of humanity, as their greatest service to Him, and of His promise of Peace and Joy for those who would thus dedicate themselves.

"And they asked of the Lord, for His promised reward,
Where and when, have we served you so well?"
"All the help you have given, to the least in your midst
You have done as a service to me!"

2. "O Kauk Bui Oen Schastliv"
A hymn calling forth to all, to have more tolerance and understanding of each other, which in turn would lead to a more joyful and friendlier world to live in.

"How much more joyful this sad old world could be,
But people, each other, do not understand!
Each one to his neighbour cannot seem to utter,
In truth we're all brethren, let's shake on it, friend!
Oh why don't we bury all hate and not argue,
Oh why can't we be all one family so dear;
Where one to another could say so sincerely
Come, brethren we are, here's my hand stretched, don't fear ....

3. "V Peryed Tovarischi Stupayte"
This hymn is a plea for all people of war to disarm and live in peace.
"Come forward, Î comrades of freedom,
A memorable day, for you has arrived;
All your weapons into splinters you must crumble,
who take human life, can be in our midst.
Come forward, î people of all nations
World brotherhood's feast long awaits you;
Let it be under the banner of Freedom,
That lasting peace for all mankind shall come."
CHORUS:
Away with all weapons!
All ye soldiers return to your homes;
Forward, ever forward!
Let the whole world be a mutual fatherland to us.

4. "Skadji Mnye Gorduiy Chelovek"
A hymn extrolling the virtues of vegetarianism and deploring man's inhumanity to animals. Entitled "The Voice of an Oxen to Man", the first verse reads as follows:
Tell me, O Vain Mortal Man -
Why have you deprived me of freedom?
My whole life, kept within a pen;
You slay me to satisfy your palate ... ?"

5. "O Gospod Moi'
A ladies' quartette render this interdenominational hymn of entreaty to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
"Oh, my Lord, with fervent longing
I do seek your divine grace;
And your joyful call, so mighty,
Bids me, come, and take my place!"

6. "Radostnooyu Pesnyu"
A choral arrangement of a hymn with a two part round chorus

"We sing of joy, of Heavenly Joy".
A song of joy, we render now,
And praise to God we fully give;
For His blessings bountiful
We loudly sing our hallelujahs."

7. "Taum Gde Tselooyut"
A hymn expressing the nostalgic feelings of the wandering Jewish people for their original fatherland.

"There where the tall cedars merge with the clouds,
Where the River Jordan from its mountain sources flows,
There where our forefathers' ashes lie forgotten,
Where the blood of the Maccabees flowed freely in battles,
There where the blue sea and horizon seem endless,
There lies my fatherland, it never leaves my memory;
My fatherland, my fatherland, so beloved and so dear.

Side Two:

1. "Spooskayetsya Solntse"
"The sun is now shining beyond the horizon".
A song of old Russia depicting a convoy of prisoners on their way to exile in Siberia. It is led by Male Trio, with Choir Accompaniment. The chorus repeats of what you see and hear of this group at eventide.
"Ding-boom, ding-boom - the tinkling chains resound,
Ding-boom, ding-boom - they're going to far Siberia.
Ding-boom, ding-boom - the echo's far and wide -
To labor camp so distant our comrades now are bound."

2. "Kolokolchik V Daulyi"
"The tinkling of the bell, it has now ceased its tune". A solo, with choir accompaniment, featuring Elizabeth Pepin. This song is about a young heroine who was slain as a martyr for her ideals, and of a coachman, who, after witnessing her martyrdom, never sang again or allowed a bell to be used on his mail-carrying vehicle.
"There's a grass covered knoll in the valley beyond,
It's a mound that is simple, but sacred;
And beneath this green mound lies the girl I revere
She took with her, my song and my life's joy".

3. "Shoomyel Goryel"
A song about the "Burning of Moscow" during the siege of Russia by Napoleon featuring John Novokshonoff as soloist. The song depicts Napoleon standing, in thought, on the walls of the Kremlin, while the city is in flames all around him.
"Why for did I venture to Russia?
All of Europe I had held in my hand ...
Now here on the wall of the Kremlin,
In frustration I stand, with bowed head ...
"Fate plays its game with lives of men,
Its fickleness does oft repeat;
At times it lifts to highest peaks
Then drops in shamed defeat."

4. "Letyiptaushka"
"Take my message, my pretty songbird". A seventeen year old young man, upset about his first love affair, entreats a songbird to convey his feelings to his loved one.
"Soar, my songbird into the heavens,
Take my sorrow with you, up high;
With your song pour forth the longings
That are pent up in this breast".

5. "Medjdoo Dvooh Byeluih Beryez"
"The shaded brook among the birches". A light-hearted song which mimics the ups and downs of a young love affair.
